Three countries in a weekend — the falls from the Zambian side, a Zambezi sunset cruise, and a day across the border into Chobe.
The trip
Based in Livingstone, close enough to hear the falls. A Zambezi sunset cruise, a day trip into Chobe, and Devil’s Pool when the water level allows it — which is not all year, so the timing matters.

Day by day
Arrival, Game Drive & Zambezi Sunset Cruise
Fly to Livingstone and transfer to the Victoria Waterfront Lodge for a quick light lunch. Afternoon game drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, home to endangered white rhino, then an evening Zambezi sunset cruise with drinks and a light supper — elephants, hippos and crocodiles from the water.
Victoria Falls & the Elephant Café
Guided rainforest walk along the falls with its panoramic viewpoints, then a speedboat transfer to The Elephant Café for an ethical elephant encounter and a three-course dinner with drinks included.
Chobe National Park Safari & River Cruise
Cross into Botswana for a full day in Chobe. Packed breakfast, then a morning open-vehicle game drive after Botswana’s iconic species, a light lunch, and an afternoon boat safari on the Chobe River watching game from the water. Back into Zambia for pizza at the restaurant.
Livingstone Island & Devil’s Pool
Boat out to Livingstone Island and swim at Devil’s Pool or Angel’s Pool, water levels and safety permitting. Breakfast on the island, then change into hiking gear for the Falls gorge on the Zambian side. Back to the hotel to pack, and transfer to Livingstone Airport.
